doca-telemetry-utils
Skill from NVIDIA/skills
Install
npx skills add NVIDIA/skills --skill doca-telemetry-utils
Runs the open skills CLI and installs the skill for your agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor …). Alternatively copy the skill folder into .claude/skills/ or upload it in Claude.ai under Settings → Skills.
What does the doca-telemetry-utils skill do?
Description from the SKILL.md in the source repository.
Questions about doca-telemetry-utils
What does the doca-telemetry-utils skill do?
doca_telemetry_utils command line on a host with DOCA: discover the diagnostic-counter schema, translate counter names to binary Data IDs and back, and check per-device counter support before committing a DOCA Telemetry exporter config. Use this skill when telemetry counters vanish between the exporter and the collector: "my exporter ships but the collector sees nothing", "this metric silently drops downstream", "which counters does this BlueField expose", "translate this 0x... back to a counter name", "what do node / pcie_index / depth mean here", or "is this counter supported on this device", even without naming the tool. Route exporter or collector code to doca-telemetry-exporter / doca-telemetry, DTS deployment to doca-dts, and DOCA install or repair to doca-setup.
How do I install doca-telemetry-utils?
In a terminal: npx skills add NVIDIA/skills --skill doca-telemetry-utils. The skills CLI asks which agents to install it for. In Claude.ai you can upload the skill folder as a ZIP under Settings → Skills.
Which agents can use doca-telemetry-utils?
Skills use the open SKILL.md format, which Claude Code, Claude.ai, the Claude API, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI and other agents support.
Is doca-telemetry-utils safe to use?
Our automatic check found no risky patterns (piped shell scripts, hidden characters, secret access, prompt overrides). It is not a full audit – read the SKILL.md and any scripts before installing.

Evaluate whether an existing hot path is a credible NVIDIA Warp candidate. Use for irregular or spatial queries, particle or geometry simulation, branch-heavy loops, many small launches, host fallbacks, or large intermediates. CPU-only code and absent GPU dependencies are normal unless NVIDIA is prohibited. Exclude required cross-vendor or CPU-only deployment, vendor-lowered dense or NN layers, general Warp API questions, and already-selected Warp kernels. Contribution policy alone is not exclusion.
Use to diagnose and fix incorrect gradients in differentiable Warp programs. Anything trained, optimized, calibrated, or fit through Warp kernels depends on wp.Tape gradients, so treat any misbehavior of such a workflow as a gradient problem until proven otherwise — use this when training diverges or NaNs, won't train at all, stalls or plateaus above the expected loss, converges to a wrong or biased answer, is worse than a reference implementation, works at small scale but fails at production scale, or fails a QA/validation recheck. Also for explicit symptoms — exploding, NaN/inf, zero, or subtly wrong gradients, suspected wp.Tape/backward issues, gradcheck failures — but users usually describe only the surface symptom ("the sim explodes", "the fit gets dragged toward outliers") without mentioning gradients: make that leap. Not for forward-only Warp work, build/install problems, or autograd issues in other frameworks without Warp.
Use when compile time or startup time is the problem in code that uses Warp: a request to improve, optimize, or cut compile times; an app that is slow to start or stalls at the first wp.launch; seconds of compiling before real work begins; JIT modules recompiling on every run or every CI job. Only applies when the code being optimized uses Warp kernels. Not for steady-state kernel runtime, memory, correctness, building Warp itself from source, or nvcc/C++ build times.
Add agent-ready vision capabilities — dense captioning, detection, search, alerting, summarization — to an agent or application through a customizable, self-contained vision stack built on the NVIDIA VSS Blueprint. Use this skill when a developer or agent wants to give their app vision: pick capabilities via guided intake ("build a vision agent", "add vision capabilities") or describe them in natural language ("create a profile for streaming dense captioning", "add agentic search to my base deployment", "deploy warehouse 3d"). Route, compose, configure, and deploy stock base, alerts, LVS, search developer profiles, or the warehouse industry profile and lean custom combinations expressed as delta overlays using one current developer profile as the Foundation. Not for operating a stack that is already deployed — searching, asking about a video, summarizing, managing alerts, or generating a report — and not for deploying a single microservice on its own; use the matching vss-* skill for those.
Integrate TileGym kernels into Hugging Face `transformers` models by replacing the library's submodule(s) and certain class(es)' implementations, and patching certain class(es)' init/forward/load weight methods prior to instantiating models. Used when the user requires integrating TileGym kernels into `transformers` models.
Iteratively optimize cuTile kernel performance through systematic profiling, bottleneck analysis, IR comparison, and targeted tuning. Covers tile sizes, occupancy, autotune configs, TMA, latency hints, persistent scheduling, num_ctas, flush_to_zero, and IR-level debugging. Use when asked to "optimize cutile kernel", "improve kernel perf", "tune cutile performance", "make kernel faster", or iteratively benchmark and refine a cuTile GPU kernel in the TileGym project.
Expert cuTile programming assistant. Write high-performance GPU kernels using cuTile's tile-based programming model with proper validation and optimization. Supports deep agent orchestration for complex multi-kernel tasks.
Use when adding, modifying, optimizing, or debugging CuTile autotuning code. Trigger signals: `exhaustive_search` / `replace_hints` / `hints_fn` / `cuda.tile.tune` in code, `autotune` in filenames, or correctness/performance issues in autotuned CuTile kernels. Covers: tune-once/cache/launch pattern, per-architecture configs (sm80–sm120), parameter space design (tile sizes, occupancy, num_ctas), and 7 common pitfalls with solutions.
